“Dahab” means gold in Arabic — but this painting is not about ornament. It’s about what remains after pressure, after becoming.

The figure stands faceless by design. Without identity, she becomes more than one person. She becomes memory, resilience, survival, selfhood. She becomes anyone who has ever been asked to shrink and chose instead to expand.

The raised arms are not celebration. They are declaration.
Not "look at me" — but "I am here".

Every layer of gold was built to feel warm rather than luxurious. Not wealth, but endurance. Not decoration, but earned light. The blue around her was left open and still, like sky after a storm.

“Dahab” is not about beauty. It’s about becoming impossible to erase.

Series – “Sona”: The Sona series is a collection of faceless portraits exploring power, memory, identity, and transformation. These paintings are intentionally anonymous — not to hide the subject, but to widen it. Each figure exists somewhere between person and symbol, carrying emotions that feel deeply individual and universally shared at once. They are portraits of becoming. Quiet archetypes of resilience, softness, pride, and self-reclamation.
